Our Ethical Commitments:

We are a multi-generational family of artisans and craftsmen, we honor the oral and physical traditions of handmade leather goods and luxury items by promoting and creating a community of individuality that hones the embodiment of our spirit. This mission allows us to create greater respect and conditions for luxury artisans, and drive a deeper understanding of international manufacturing.

Our of respect for our mission, we have made the following ethical commitments:

1. J.L. Rocha Collections only sources leathers from ethical tanneries that use organic vegetable tans and dyes.

2. All our labor comes from family owned workshops with safe, sanitary, and high quality conditions.

3. We are committed to collaborate with our workshops to reduce the carbon footprint of luxury manufacturing in Leon, Guanajuato.

4. Our shipping boxes are made of 100% recycled materials

We are extensively proud of our root as well as our history of artisan made leather products and are dedicated to creating more awareness about the Mexican luxury sector, ethical leather practices, and traditional collectors values.

• We create only up to 100 units of our handmade products using minimal technology.

• We craft our products with ethically sourced leather and luxury seconds.

• We use chromium free dye and vegetable tans to help sustain the environment.

• We value life and we’ve committed to employing fair wage artisan craftspeople.

• We value individuals who respect others, their environment, and making a positive difference with your success.

While our products are sized and geared towards menswear we encourage people from all walks of life to collect and live in our products, we do not participate in fast fashion, therefor we encourage the individual - you - to live with the promise of leaving your mark, and standing out for the right reasons. We value history, family, tradition, hard work, sustainability, elegance, poise, and individuality. Our mission is to honor the value and tradition of luxury craftsmanship in Mexico, but there’s a secondary effect to our goal as a company. We hope to create timeless legacy pieces that stand for generational value. The love and effort we impart in our products should be shared with loved ones for years to come, and more than that, shared with others. Our dream is that when an individual wearing a J.L. Rocha item spots another member of our community, that they will know they are in the company of ethical and impactful individuals.
