We have generations of experience working with leatherwear and men’s fashion. México once served as a menswear capital - fabricating leather goods for top fashion brands including Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, and alike. We asked ourselves what defines a Luxury Menswear Brand? Exploring this topic, we put together three criteria that answer this question, and we’re excited to share them with you while using our family crest as inspiration.

It’s not secret that a well dressed gentleman is a classic icon of behavioral models, our examples can range from the stylish narratives of James Bond to the superbly sartorial looks of Barack Obama, Bill Nye, and any range of style savants. We’ve isolated three factors that we believe define luxury menswear brands:
A Luxury Product: Google defines a luxury as “an inessential, desire able item which is expensive or difficult to obtain.” so this creates a logical assumption that a luxury menswear brand has to sell a luxury menswear product.
A Unique Product: We firmly believe that design is what creates a truly stand out menswear brand, unique products that aren’t mass produced are a staple sign of luxury menswear.
A Rich History of Craftsmanship: What constitutes many of the iconic brands we know and can name off the top of our heads? Frequently a common denominator is a long standing European history of craft. The eurocentricity of this perspective is a flaw of the industry, but not one we care to discuss at this moment.
These three factors make up what we believe is a true menswear brand. We want to go over the three criteria in depth, and want to tell you about our handcrafted Mexican products and how it meets these criteria while using our family crest as inspiration.

We create an ethical product that comes from a beautiful and dangerous circumstance. Luxury leather production causes much unnecessary waste because traditional European luxury brands do not accept prove scars as a part of their products. This means we waste roughly; 85-95% of all luxury leather. Prove scars tell a story about an animals life and help us remember what we honor when we create products and make leather. J.L Rocha uses unique luxury seconds to create an ethically sourced product that contains unique properties, made from unique dyes crafted from organic materials. We take pride in the skills our artisans use to craft, dye, cut, and shape the leather to work with prove scars and create beautiful products that don’t compromise on style. A Unique Product - The Crown
Only 100 of each item made
We handcraft only up to 100 of our products to protect the individuality and style of all of our clients as well as the integrity of our artisans craft. There are unique styles that we create that derive from classic tradition. We create collections that are exclusive to the unique individuals that purchase the one of a kind products that we house. The unique products that we create are a symbol of the elegance and beauty that Mexican artisans imbue in all of our products. A Rich History of Craftsmanship

Mexico has over 400 years of history when it comes to craftsmanship. Our artisans have learned from history passed down through apprenticeship, verbal knowledge, and hands on knowledge. The J.L. Rocha family has a history of craftsmanship through our blood, and derives it’s quality standards from a rich tapestry that stimulates our unique and timeless designs. Our family crest is centered by a lion that represents our historic city and city of craft, Leon, Guanajuato.
