Mexico City Luxury Travel Guide
Luxury Suggestions
Mexico City defines classic Mexican luxury as the center of cultural and historical fare. While we celebrate our classic collection with Carlos Izaga in Mexico City, we’re reminded of the plethora of offerings this Capital City brings. Our Mexico City Luxury Travel Guide will cover three categories across where to stay, eat, and enjoy the city: we hope you enjoy.
What to know:
Key information:
Located in a central time-zone, in the heart of central Mexico: the city is continually buzzing with life. While any season will find its’ fair share of traffic, ideal times to travel for privacy are July - August before celebrations of independence begin, or March - April, while the purple Jacarandas are blooming. August brings average temperatures between 76° / 54° F, making the city an ideal place for a universal wardrobe.
We recommend hiring a car service in conjunction with your hotel, for easy transport to all major locations; especially if you’re flying private to Licenciado Adolfo López Mateos International Airport (TLC / MMTO) - Since the city airport does not allow private aviation. While Mexico City has more than enough to satisfy the luxurious nomad, this central location is also close to many ancient ruins and natural wonders only some of which will be covered in this post.
Where to stay:
Classic Luxury - The St Regis Mexico City
Located along the Iconic tree-lined Paseo de la Reforma the St. Regis Mexico city stands proudly among cultural sites and luxury fare. The location is optimal for close access to historical sites as it sits between the famed Angel de la Independencia and Bosque de Chapultepec. We recommend staying in the Astor Suite for the best views and amazing aesthetics Designed by Yabu Pushelberg.
