“Beyond myself, somewhere,
I wait for my arrival.”

Octavio Paz is primarily known as a poet and essayist, but he was also a diplomat and cultural ambassador who traveled extensively throughout Mexico and the world. His writings often explore Mexican history and culture, showcasing how for him: adventure represented a way of discovering new things, both about the world and about oneself. Today Paz is still considered one of the most important Mexican intellectuals of the 20th century.

Carlos Slim Helu is one of the world's richest men, but he's also been an avid adventurer throughout his life. He has climbed some of the world's tallest mountains, including Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Elbrus, and has participated in numerous expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions. While slim is not commonly associated with adventure, his efforts to create positive social change could be seen as an adventurous undertaking, as they require creativity, vision, and a willingness to take on difficult challenges

Gabriela Mistral was the first Latin American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Her life represents courage, curiosity, and willingness to explore new horizons in pursuit of goals and ideals. She was a poet, educator, and diplomat who traveled extensively throughout Mexico and Latin America. Mistral spent much of her early life as a teacher in rural areas of Chile educating and uplifting impoverished communities. She also traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Europe, speaking on behalf of her country and advocating for social progress, peace, and human rights.
