Men's Fashion Myth: Expensive Shoes are Always Fashionable

This statement is simply not true - some of the least fashionable shoes out there will cost you an arm and a leg, and some of the more inexpensive items might look good but won't hold up.

What you really want are quality, high end shoes that are fashionable as well. Just remember that quality does not necessarily mean expensive, and unless you are a fashion expert chances are you won't be able to keep up with trends.
