The luxurious adventurer knows their travel bag well. There’s no better way to enjoy a weekend than by boarding your boat, car, or aerial vehicle of choice for a relaxing getaway. In celebration of our Classic Collection and the summer season, we’ve decided to provide five essential tips on packing a classic travel bag.

Tip #1: Pack the essentials
A weekender travel bag is the perfect 3 day companion. We recommend packing just enough to make it through your trip to avoid over stuffing.
Here’s what we recommend for a three day (two night) trip:
One pair of shoes.
Two pairs of pants.
3 Dress Shirts.
Suit or Leather Jacket.
Toiletries.
Sleepwear.
This of course doesn’t include the clothes you leave with, socks or undergarments. So be sure to wear versatile comfortable shoes, and pack your formal dress shoes if you plan on fine dining.
Tip #2: Pack bottom to top
When packing a classic weekender: filling the bag is best done when working with the natural shape. We recommend packing in the following layers:
Bottom Layer: Shoes (soles facing lining) + jacket/suit.
Middle Layer: Two pairs of pants + 3 Dress Shirts.
Top Layer: Toiletries + Sleepwear + accessories.
When it comes to accessories: we recommend packing light with a tie, collar stays, cuff links in the internal zipper pocket.
Tip #3: Use space creatively
Luxury doesn’t mean impracticality; keep your weekender efficient by utilizing space creatively and folding with innovation. Pack three pairs of socks in one shoe, while utilizing the other for compact rolled unmentionables.
Tip #4: Dress in light layers, wear your jacket
Regardless of the destination or transportation, a jacket is always beneficial to have nearby. Not only can you elevate your look, but additionally it creates practicality for both packing and storing essential keys or identification.
Tip #5: Use a weekender, and personal item
A weekenders perfect companion is the backpack or portfolio. If you have a watch case, laptop, tablet, or additional needs: bring a backpack to keep your utility supplies and your sartorial ones separate. Extra style points come with color coordination.
